Wild Woodschool (forest school programmes)

“Wild woodcraft have worked with us from the start to develop an adventurous outdoor learning curriculum for our children that allows them all to experience being outside in nature whilst at the same time developing their confidence and self-reliance. Now, more than ever in this technological world we feel it is so important for children to play and learn outdoors, connecting with nature. Thanks to Wild woodcraft this aspiration is now a reality.”

Denise Popplewell, Tealby School

We have developed our own brand of ‘forest school’ for either Primary or Secondary age pupils. Groups can consist of perhaps a single year group, the whole of school in 6 week blocks, pupil premium students or additional needs students in a long term programme or term blocks.

Not a sanitised version of forest school, we go out (and stay out) usually for the whole day, learning and perfecting skills to an advanced level. It is our belief that quality forest school can only take place in a spacious woodland setting that can’t be created within a school’s grounds. We have created a wholeschool year long programme with Tealby Primary School (now in it’s 4th year) and a seven month programme with Ormiston Maritime Academy culminating in a residential camp, for students with behavioural issues.
