Adults, Children, Families..bring your own group for 1/2 day, whole day and camps..
Design your experience .. pick your activities to suit your group, we are pleased to offer advice if you need it, most of the activities can be switched up or down according to ages/ skill levels etc. There is no need for ANY previous experience to have a great time with us!
General bushcraft skills (shelter, fire, tools etc – takes a day at least)
Ancient survival – bushcraft the stone age way
Shelter (take some time to fully realise functional shelter – at least half a day)
Fire (varying levels of depth, at least half a day)
Bow drill fire starting (Adults only, a day)
Game prep – (depending on availability, deer, pheasant, rabbit, fish.. prepare, butcher, cook and eat game, lots of variety of methods ancient and more modern – timing dependent on choices)
Bows/arrows – (a very big subject.. we can approach this from many different ways – a day +!)
Spear and thrower (Atlatl) – again, a potentially huge subject – (needs a day at least)
Throwing stick or ancient wooden spear – (allow a day especially if using stone tools, can be relatively quick with knives)
Pouch making – make a leather pouch the ancient way (at least half a day)
Plants and foraging – very dependent on the season, best in spring/summer
Bark container – beautiful containers
Bramble/ bark/ grass coil basket – make a basket from the forest
Dream catcher – crafted using natural materials
Hide tanning – an introduction to ancient tanning skills (the creation of leather from animal skin – no chemicals etc!) Create a small piece of leather directly from an animal skin (maybe to make a pouch with?)
Wood/ stone/ bone pendant – create a pendant (even the cord if you want)
Stone age educational day – basically a private, less crowded version of our fantastic school ‘Stone age trip day’ usually aimed at ks2
Whole day (6hrs) – Adults (max no. dependent on activity) £350, Children (up to 10 participants) £350, Mixed/family/friends (up to 10 participants) £350
Half day (3hrs) – Adults (max no. dependent on activity) £250, Children (up to 10 participants) £250, Mixed/family/friends (up to 10 participants) £250
Night (to be added to day/s) – Lots of extra time and camp craft – £300 all groups (includes evening meal etc)
